What is "tooth decay"?
Tooth decay is commonly known as "worm tooth" or "tooth decay". Under different reasons, the hard tissues in the teeth are damaged, the inorganic material decalcifies and the organic material decomposes, which leads to the tooth gradually becoming defective.

Once a cavity appears in a tooth, it will not heal on its own without treatment and will eventually lead to tooth loss. Caries is not a serious disease, but WHO has listed caries, tumor and cardiovascular disease as the three major diseases of human beings.
Children's dental caries is harmful to many
1. It is easy to cause tooth defect, reduce chewing function, affect children's nutritional intake and digestion, and also make jaw bone development insufficient, causing permanent teeth crowding unevenly.
2. Food residues are easily hidden in the cavities and stay in the mouth, leading to the growth of oral bacteria, and even the newly erupted permanent teeth will be carious.

3. If the decay of the baby tooth is not cured, after the development of apical infection, it will affect the growth of the permanent teeth afterwards, and the enamel development will be incomplete.
4. If apical infection occurs, the decayed milk teeth may cause the local sulcus to be destroyed and not easy to fall off, which may make the permanent teeth erupt too early or too late, and affect the order and position of permanent teeth eruption.
5. The destroyed crown can stimulate the local tongue and lip and cheek mucosa, leading to the formation of chronic traumatic ulcers.
6. Affects the learning of language and correct pronunciation.

7. It affects the aesthetics, especially in the front teeth area, and can cause some psychological impact on children.
